Fudge

April 1994 - August 8th 2006

Fudge was never just a cat.

From the day that we brought her home she was such a character. Awkward, self-opinionated and stubborn at times but always a character. She knew what she wanted and how to get it. It didn't take her long to get us trained although it's certainly true that she understood Human far better than we understood Cat.

She gave us such love, even though she would never sit on knees. She loved to snuggle up with her Mum at night or come and have her head scratched by her Dad. It was lovely when she ran up to the car to say hello if she was out when we came home. In her youth she would come charging over the garden fences to get home when we rattled her box of treats. Come to think of it that was probably the fastest she ever moved!

We had our adventures but she was never known to kill anything larger than a spider. In fact her happiest times were probably curled up in a patch of sunlight, sitting on "her" plant on a summers day or the gas fire on a winters night. She clearly thought that that fire was mankind's ultimate invention!

I could go on and on, but the important thing is that we loved her. We still love you Fudge. We miss you and we always will.
