Autumn is one of the best times of year to visit much of England.
Perhaps I'd better be a little more precise. Autumn in the sunshine is one of the best times. If you're lucky enough to visit on one of these rare occasions then you are in for a treat. The colours that the heather and bracken give to the hills is no less than breath taking. I've seen other places in the world that are beautiful but there's nothing that can beat England at its best.
